Free Trade Area of the Americas: Worldview's Coverage of the Summit of the Americas

As leaders from throughout the Americas gathered to negotiate a free trade pact between their nations, Worldview provided a range of perspectives regarding the proposed agreement.

From April 20 to 22, President Bush joined officials from 33 other North and South American countries at the Summit of the Americas in Quebec. The establishment of a free-trade zone between these countries was high on the meeting's agenda. This free trade zone would, in effect, expand the North American Free Trade Agreement to include all nations in South and Central America with the exception of Cuba.
