Chicago Matters: Money Talks

We floated 140 one-dollar bills, each with a stamped message asking the recipient to call Chicago Public Radio, throughout various Chicago neighborhoods and suburbs.

Read here for more about how they
were placed in circulation >>

Each respondent gave us their views on money. Read what they had to say and hear an audio excerpt of their interview. The map below shows where the bill was originally dropped. Perhaps one of them was in your neighborhood.

Click on each of the dots below to “Follow the Money” and find out more. (Dots that extend off the map indicate that the bill was dropped at a suburban location.)
