Universities in Iran are co-ed.

As part of our series Higher Education in the Middle East, we'll take a look at Iranian universities. In Iran, a degree is a must for both men and women. We find out about the history of Iran’s university system and how post-revolution reforms to education had the unintended consequence of producing a government backlash. We'll also hear from Middle Eastern college students attending school in Chicago. And contributor Milos Stehlik reviews the film Bad Lieutenant: Port of Call New Orleans.

We spoke with international students, Ibtihale Laghzaoui from Morocco, Ahmad Dulli from Saudi Arabia and Hadia Zarzour from Syria, who shared their experiences on attending university in the United States.
