Gabe Huck and Theresa Kubasak are co-founders of the Iraqi Student Project. The husband-and-wife team wanted to do something for the thousands of young Iraqi refugees flooding into Damascus, their current home. They started the Iraqi Student Project to help would be students get a degree from an American university.

Has the organization approached the Iraqi government (e.g. ministry of education) for funding? Its immense oil revenues could and should substantially contribute to this worthy cause during these trying economic times, which are especially difficult for us who have children in college and are struggling to pay full tuition with no assistance. I was surprised that there was no mention of partnering with Iraq, since it will be a key beneficiary "when" (and if) the students return there. I would like a response from the guests if at all possible. Thanks.
