Alfredo Sfier-Younis
As part of our ongoing series Critical Thinking on Capitalism, Jerome spoke with Alfredo Sfeir-Younis is a Chilean economist and President and Founder of the Zambuling Institute for Human Transformation. He also worked with the World Bank, as a senior official for almost 30 years.

Alfredo’s life and career consists of unusual twists and turns. Among other issues, he’s worked for the rights of indigenous peoples, and in the areas of peace and social justice, poverty eradication, international trade and finance, gender and women’s issues, and spirituality in sustainable development. He’s also had his hand in alternative medicine and along the way his spiritual journey led him to become a Mayan Priest.
