96 percent of the nuclear weapons in the world are held by the United States and Russia. It’s been 60 years since the United States tested the first nuclear weapon developed by the Manhattan Project. Since then, the United States has conducted over 1,000 more nuclear tests, most of which occurred at the Nevada Test Site.

Located 65 miles northwest of Las Vegas, the site is over 1,000 square miles of desert and mountainous terrain. MT Silvia is making a documentary called  “Atomic Mom”. The documentary follows the story of her mother, who worked for the US at Nevada Test Site.
