By Car

  • From the North, take Lake Shore Drive (US 41) to the Grand Avenue exit.
  • From the Northwest, take the Kennedy Expressway (I-90/94) to the Ohio Street exit, South on Orleans to Illinois Street and proceed East.
  • From the West, take the Eisenhower Expressway (I-290) to Columbus Drive, North to Illinois Street, and proceed East.
  • From the South, take the Dan Ryan Expressway (I-94) to Lake Shore Drive (US 41) North to the exit for Navy Pier.
  • Once you get to the Pier, follow the signs for parking.


  • Bicycling and Public Transportation

    A bicycle rack is located in front of the Chicago Public Radio at the Pier's Entrance One.

    Five CTA bus lines provide regular service directly to Navy Pier: #2 (Hyde Park Express), #29 (State Street), #65 (Grand Avenue), #66 (Chicago Avenue), and #124 (Navy Pier).

    There are also periodically free trolleys from various downtown locations. If you're taking the trolley, get off at Entrance One.
