We’ll ask a Chicago jewelry dealer how got the White House and Congress to agree on something (putting sanctions on the Burmese gem trade) unanimously. First we'll discuss the 20th anniversary of the student and monk-led popular uprising against the repressive Burmese military junta. It started with peaceful protests against the killing of student activists and grew to include all segments of Burmese civil society.
