Hello Beautiful!
Sunday, April 1, 2007

British conductor Jane Glover is our guest this week as we dash all over the Chicago art scene. Opera, theatre, jazz and architecture; you've got it all.

Jane Glover has been conducting professionally since 1975. She's been broadcast on BBC TV, worked with major symphonies and chamber orchestras all over the world, and has been Music Director at Music of the Baroque in Chicago since 2002. Now, she's conducting The Return of Ulysses, a powerful production currently playing at the Chicago Opera Theatre.

We'll get Jane Glover's perspective on the opera, a review of Blue Note's recent Johnny Griffin reissue, plus the story of mentally ill actors bringing their experiences to the stage.
