Volunteer for Chicago Public Radio
Volunteering your time and energy is every bit as valuable as donating your money. We are always looking for volunteers for Chicago Public Radio Events and Pledge Drives.
Pledge Drive Volunteering is an important way to share your time with and support of Chicago Public Radio. Pledge drive volunteers save us thousands of dollars by taking calls from fellow public radio fans and completing in-house mailings.
WBEZ is looking for volunteers to help out between 6:30am and 11am during Pledge Drives. Volunteers take pledges over the phone and enter information into a computer. Other activities include stuffing envelopes and calling new and renewing members to thank them for their gift. If you have never volunteered during a WBEZ Pledge Drive, please complete this pledge drive volunteer application [pdf]. It's necessary since pledge volunteers do take financial information, such as credit care numbers, from donors.
To sign up for one or more slots during an upcoming Pledge Drive, please follow this link and enter your information. You will receive a confirmation email.
Or contact Don Hall at 312-948-4644 or donhall@chicagopublicradio.org.
We’ll provide food, beverages and tours of the station. We also have “thank yous” for your support in the form of books, tickets, and assorted gifts – so you won’t leave empty-handed!
Also, if you want to volunteer your community or corporate group of 5-10 people, please contact Don Hall at 312-948-4644 or donhall@chicagopublicradio.org.
Events Volunteering includes working at live tapings of Wait, Wait...Don’t Tell Me!, helping to staff our monthly Chicago Public Radio Presents Series, and staffing WBEZ tables at various music, film and art festivals. For information about Events Volunteering, e-mail Don Hall or call him at 312-948-4644.
