It's Thursday - Let's Dance!
Thursday, July 23, 2009 @ 6:30 p.m. dance lesson; 7:30 p.m. performance

THIS WEEK: The Sidemen - 18 piece dance band (Ellington, Goodman, Basie, etc.)

Join us under the stars on the only live dance floor north of Chicago, as you shake your groove thing to some of the hottest local bands around!  In the event's tenth year, downtown Evanston heats up on Thursday nights from July 16 through August 20.  The party gets started with a dance lesson at 6:30 and kicks into high gear at 7:30 with a live performance featuring the sounds and unique dance styles of R&B, reggae, Samba, swing, Zydeco and classic rock.

Look for the dance party at 909 Davis Street Plaza, Maple Avenue at Church Street.  There is plenty of inexpensive garage parking, and both the CTA and Metra lines take you right to the party.  This is a free event and all ages are welcome.
