Guidelines
Our Daily Photos are taken by the dedicated members of the Chicago Public Radio Flickr group. To find information on individual photographers visit our "Contributing Photographers" page. To submit your own photos, first sign up for Flickr, then join the Chicago Public Radio Flickr group. Then you'll need to select "Send to Group" when viewing your photo on Flickr. Please keep the following guidelines in mind when submitting photos:
  • Group members may contribute 5 photos per day
  • Shots that depict Chicagoland: the people, the neighborhoods, the sights
  • The more recent, the better!
  • Photos that don't require captions
  • Landscape orientation (i.e., horizontal)
  • Pictures should be at least 452 pixels wide and 314 pixels tall.
  • All photos should be placed on your Flickr Map. You can do this very easily by going to "Organize" then "Map."
  • We may do a minor adjustments (contrast, brightness, color, cropping etc.) as necessary
  • In return, we offer a credit for photos used in the main photo position on the home page that can contain a link to your Web site and/or e-mail address as well as listing on our "Contributing Photographers" page.
  • Occasionally we may use small photos to accompany stories in other area of our site. We promise to always try our best to credit you if we use your photos.
