Talking with New Teachers: YCA Youth Speak Up

Chicago Public Schools Teaching Residency and Internship Program invited Young Chicago Authors for an afternoon of performance and dialogue at Little Village High School. These pre-service teachers became the students while YCA poets taught them what students look for in a teacher. Poets included: Nathaniel Marshall, Sharrieff Muhammad, Matthew Ewing, Jeffrey Riley, Shawn Duncan, and LeBrandon Hickey, with teachers Steven Evans, Krista Franklin and YCA Performance Manager Mike Haeflinger.
