A year ago today, Chicagoan Barack Obama was elected 44th President of the United States. The next morning, well before the sun was up, Linda Paul and photographer Richard Cahan began their day at Altgeld Gardens. That’s the Chicago public housing development where Obama got his start as a community organizer. Residents there were elated and had some pretty high expectations for the country and their community. And now, one year later, Rich and Linda have returned – for an audio snapshot of this small community of about 3,000 people.

What a disaster to elect another incompetent into the White House after 8 years of Bush. It was a gamble because Obama didn't show any talent in Illinois as we know Illinois is devoid of any talented politicians except when it comes to stuffing their pockets. Now the nation sees why Illinois has such a corrupt and incompetent government first hand.
