Palatine Students Get County's First H1N1 Vaccinations

Palatine kids in the northwest suburbs will be the first to receive H1N1 swine flu vaccinations from the Cook County Department of Public Health. Doctor Stephen Martin says the department is scheduling inoculations by ZIP code. He says they're looking at population density and poverty levels to determine which ZIP codes get the vaccines first.

MARTIN: We looked at those ZIP codes that fit into that criteria, and we began with that approach. And we're going to be going from one ZIP code to the next moving north, south, west through out suburban Cook County, not staying in one particular area.

Martin says vaccination will likely be given at school through the beginning of next year. He says parents can explore other inoculation sources if they don't want to wait for county services. The Chicago Health Department has planned to set up free vaccination centers on the campuses of six City Colleges of Chicago.

It seems that once again the government has chosen to take care of the poor minor ities and illegals while the white middle class will foot the bill. When are we going to finally figure it out that we need to do something about this and stop letting all these people abuse us.
