Mayor Daley Meets with President Obama for Olympics

Chicago Mayor Richard Daley Wednesday is scheduled to meet with President Barack Obama. Daley is in the nation's capital as part of his final push to bring the 2016 Summer Olympics to Chicago.

President Obama has said he may not be able to go to Copenhagan next month when Olympic officials announce which city will host the Games. But Mayor Daley hopes that isn't the case.

DALEY: We just always think that there's always a glimmer of hope, I would say. I can't speak for him, but, like anything else, you would hope he could go.

Recently a member of the International Olympic Committee said Obama's absence would be noted. The leaders of Spain, Brazil, and Japan have said they will make the trip to Denmark for the announcement. The IOC picks the host city two weeks from Friday.
