Chicago storyteller, Shel Silverstein, was renowned for writing and illustrating a book that lives on many bookshelves, Where the Sidewalk Ends. He was considered a renaissance man and worked until his death in 1999. Musician Bobby Bare, Jr remembers Silverstein’s mentorship in time for Millennium Park’s 5th anniversary celebration, SHELebration: A Tribute to Shel Silverstein, tonight at the Pritzker Pavilion.
