United Flights Leaving O'Hare Stalled

A computer problem is causing flight delays and long lines for United Airlines passengers at O'Hare International Airport.
United spokeswoman Robin Urbanski says Thursday's outage involves all of United's computers at O'Hare. Urbanski says many flights have been delayed and some may be canceled. Because the outage involves United's ticketing system, Urbanski says the airline is urging customers to monitor their flight status and check-in online before they get to O'Hare. She says United employees at the airport are using a manual process to check customers in.
Passengers are reporting long lines in the terminal. And planes are lining up on the airport's tarmac as new flights arrive while departing flights are unable to leave.
