Government and health officials across the country are preparing for the worst and hoping for the best. In Illinois and Indiana researchers have come up with worst-case scenarios for the spread of swine flu. An Indiana University professor has estimated the Chicago area could have about 90 cases of swine flu in the next three weeks. This is based on a computer model the professor created. Northwestern University Professor Dirk Brockmann runs his own models and explains how they work.
