Illinois state lawmakers continue hearings that could lead to the impeachment of Governor Rod Blagojevich. Thursday marked the third day of meetings for the special committee that was created to weigh the arguments for impeachment.

Lawmakers created the panel after federal prosecutors filed federal corruption charges against Blagojevich last week. Those charges, of course, include allegations that the governor attempted to sell, for personal gain, the Senate seat vacated by President-elect Barack Obama.

Chicago Public Radio’s Ben Calhoun has been following the proceedings. He joined Melba Lara to talk about what’s been going on in the hearings.

Ben also tried to answer a lingering question: how should we pronounce the name of Blagojevich's high-profile attorney, Ed Genson.
