Barack Obama on Check, Please!

Back when Obama was just a state senator, he was a guest on WTTW-Channel 11's restaurant review show, Check Please! But the show never aired.
Executive Producer David Manilow explains why in an interview with Chicago Public Radio's Steve Edwards. The other two guests in the episode were a firefighter and a woman who worked at the Art Institute of Chicago.
Manilow says they were sent to a Hyde Park restaurant called Dixie Kitchen.
WTTW will broadcast the previously unaired episode on January 16.
