We move now from non-fiction to fiction Porter Shreve’s new novel, called When the White House Was Ours. You might remember Shreve garnered some very nice reviews for his first two novels, The Obituary Writer, and Drives Like a Dream. So it should come as no surprise that the Chicago writer’s latest work is generating literary buzz. Donna Seaman, associate editor of Booklist and new Eight Forty-Eight book critic brings us this review of Shreve’s When the White House Was Ours.
