Last night Alaska Governor and Republican Vice Presidential candidate Sarah Palin delivered the biggest speech of her political career. The order was a tall one: introduce herself to much of the country, address a swell of criticism about her qualifications, handle a swarm of questions about her family life and navigate the tricky issue of gender. Palin did not crumble under the pressure. Her performance hit most, if not all, of items on her to-do list and she also managed to fire some salvos at Barack Obama’s campaign. Pallin stirred the party faithful last night in the Xcel Energy Center in St. Paul Minnesota and repositioned herself against her critics.
Chicago Public Radio's Ben Calhoun joins us to discuss reactions to her speech.
