A scene from Two If By Murder (WBEZ/Carrie Shepherd)
Last weekend, budding filmmakers across Chicago gathered to compete in the
Diesel 24 hour Film Racing Tour
. New York City Midnight Movie Making Madness founded the contest to showcase the work of aspiring filmmakers. The race challenges teams to write, film, edit and score a 3:30 short film. This year, the competition will visit more than 15 North American cities, including Toronto and Vancouver. Chicago Public Radio’s Carrie Shepherd followed one Chicago team throughout the day.
The 36 films entered in the Chicago leg of the 24 Hour Film Racing Tour are split into 2 screenings at
Landmark's Century Centre Cinema
. The first takes place at 7 p.m. and the other at 9.
Two If By Murder
is part of the 9:00 p.m. screening.

This sounded like a fun project. Will there be another race soon?
