Three R. Kelly Jurors Selected

Three jurors were selected for the trial of R&B superstar R. Kelly on Monday.
Cook County Circuit Judge Vincent Gaughan spent all day Monday questioning people from a jury pool for the R. Kelly child pornography trial.
He asked if they could give the singer a fair trial, whether they followed the six-year case and if they fancied reading celebrity media trials.
One white woman said race would be an issue for her because her daughter was assaulted by a non-white man. Another man said he was overwhelmed to be considered for such a high profile trial.
On occasion the defense team and prosecutors chimed in with questions. Jury selection is scheduled through Thursday. Twelve jurors plus four alternates are needed.
