You may know Dr. Quentin Young as Eight Forty-Eight’s medical contributor, or as an advocate for single-payer universal health care, or as a critic of the governance at Cook County’s Bureau of Health. But between his activism and media stardom, he’s also been practicing medicine for six decades.
This week, he’ll retire from his private general practice in Hyde Park. He’ll instead focus his robust octogenarian energies on his activism.
Quentin will still help us stay on top of health news, but as he hangs up his stethoscope, we thought we’d have him in for a little exit interview. Quentin’s journey reads like an encyclopedia of Chicago’s history.
