Winter Weather and Holiday Traffic Cause Delays at Area Airports

Today's snow storm is causing some delays at area airports. Karen Pride is spokesperson for Chicago's Department of Aviation.

PRIDE: We've got delays at O'hare International Airport that are averaging between 30 and 60 minutes for flights in and out of the airport. And at Midway International we've got just a few flights that are delayed approximately 30 minutes or so.

Pride says there's heavier traffic at the airports thanks to spring break and the Easter holiday. She encourages travelers to check the status of their flights before leaving home.
