Fifty years after co-founders Robert Joffrey and Gerald Arpino started their ballet company, the Joffrey Ballet has a new Artistic Director. Ashley Wheater trained at the Royal Ballet School, and has worked with Sir Frederick Ashton and Rudolf Nureyev. He has danced throughout the world, including a stint under Robert Joffrey as a member of the Joffrey Ballet.
