A few hearty souls are donning wetsuits and heading for the beach this winter. Serious surfers say winter on Lake Michigan is awesome. Since Chicago beaches are illegal, the intrepid make their way to northern Indiana or southern Wisconsin. That’s where Sandy Hausman met a group of guys who like to hang ten even when it feels like ten below.
