Mayor Daley Promotes Chicago's Olympic Bid in Turkey

Chicago Mayor Richard Daley travels to Turkey today to promote the city's bid to host the 2016 Olympics. The European Olympic Committee is meeting in Istanbul. Daley says the visit will be a chance to appeal to all the European members.

DALEY: Now they're all together; all of them will be there from the entire European groups. This is the time you'll be able to meet and talk to them. And that's why we're going. And we'll be able to officially talk to them.

Daley will be joining Chicago 2016 Chairman Pat Ryan who arrived in Turkey earlier this week. Members of the International Olympic Committee will pick the host city in October 2009.
