Join the CAC
CAC members represent a cross-section of the population living in Chicago Public Radio’s signal coverage area. Members come from different backgrounds and experiences, bring with them wide-ranging interests and have links to communities, all of which help the CAC fulfill its mission. All CAC volunteers are required to be members of WBEZ.

A maximum of 50 members may serve on the Council. The terms are three years and are staggered. New members are selected each year. There is a two-term limit.

Nominations to the CAC are invited from current and past CAC members, as well as others in the community. The nominees are invited to observe a meeting, and complete a candidate application form. The Membership Committee reviews applications and conducts interviews. The Committee then presents its recommendations to the full Council for a vote. The CAC considers every new member application carefully, therefore new member selection can take some time.

Please complete this form indicating your interest in, and qualifications for, serving the mission and work of the Chicago Public Radio Community Advisory Council.
